Drum on CD

The drive drum is used to ensure the movement of the conveyor belt. The nature of traction transmission is frictional. The rotation of the drum is provided by the motor, with which the product is connected by means of a specialized transfer device.

Cast iron or strong steel suitable for their properties are used as materials for the production of these products. The metal must withstand long-term operation under load in any conditions.

In the conveyor system, the drum is made slightly wider than the belt it moves. This avoids slipping and other problems during the operation of the line.

Do not forget that one of the most important factors is the traction force, and therefore the surface of the drum has a high coefficient of friction, largely due to which the efficiency of the product is achieved.
